Course Overview

This course provides hands-on training in interior finish carpentry and millwork installation. Students will learn how to measure, cut, and install baseboards, door and window casing, trim, and other interior finish components. Instruction focuses on accuracy, alignment, fastening methods, and achieving clean, professional finishes.

Students will complete practical millwork installations using hand and power tools while following industry standards and safe work practices.

  2. Measuring and layout techniques for trim installation
  3. Proper use, cleaning, and maintenance of carpentry tools
  4. Cutting techniques, including mitre and coping cuts

  8. Alignment, joint fitting, and finishing details
  9. Caulking, filling, and final touch-ups
